1. Who we are
Heritage Grocer is the trading name of HERITAGE GLOBAL FOODS LTD (Company No. 16229066), registered office Unit C5, Kembrey Street, Elgin Industrial Estate, Swindon, England, SN2 8UY, directed by Sreeshankar Sreeshankar. Contact: orders@heritagegrocer.co.uk, +44 7836 674533.
2. Where we deliver
We deliver with our own temperature-controlled vehicles within approximately 10 kilometres (6 miles) of our Swindon base. This covers all Swindon town postcode districts (SN1, SN2, SN3, SN5, SN25 and SN26); the SN4 villages of Wroughton, Chiseldon, Wanborough and Liddington; and the SN6 towns and villages of Highworth, Cricklade and Shrivenham. We do not currently deliver to Royal Wootton Bassett. Enter your postcode at checkout to confirm coverage — if your address is outside our delivery area, the checkout will not accept the order. We do not use third-party couriers and we do not post food.
3. When we deliver
Orders are delivered on the next working delivery day after your order is confirmed. Available delivery days and any cut-off time for next-day delivery are shown at checkout. If we ever cannot meet the delivery day shown on your Order Confirmation, we will contact you as soon as possible to rearrange, and you may cancel for a full refund if the new time does not suit you.
4. Delivery charges
Any delivery charge, and any minimum order value for free delivery, is shown clearly at checkout before you pay.
5. Receiving a chilled delivery
Because orders contain chilled and perishable food, someone should be available at the delivery address. Our driver will hand the order over, or follow safe-place instructions you give at checkout. Chilled goods left in a safe place are at your risk once delivered as instructed, and should be refrigerated promptly. If nobody is available and no safe-place instruction was given, the driver will attempt to contact you by phone; if delivery cannot be completed, perishable goods cannot be re-delivered on a later day for food-safety reasons, and we will refund your order minus the direct cost of the perishable items prepared for it. We will always try to reach you before this happens.
6. Substitutions and shortages
Fresh stock varies daily. If an item is unavailable, we will offer a substitution of equal or greater value at no extra cost only if you have opted in to substitutions at checkout; otherwise the item is simply refunded. You may refuse any substitution at the door for an immediate refund of that item.
7. Damaged or missing items
Check your delivery when it arrives where practical. Report damaged, spoiled or missing items within 24 hours to orders@heritagegrocer.co.uk — our freshness promise and your statutory rights are set out in the Returns & Refunds Policy.
